Rule 25
Parliamentary Hearing Committee
(1) There will be a parliamentary hearing committee for the hearing in accordance with Article 292 of the Constitution regarding the names proposed for appointment to the post of Chief Justice, Supreme Court Judge, Judicial Council member, head or office bearer of the constitutional body and ambassador of Nepal. (2) The committee under sub-rule (1) shall consist of twelve members of the House of Representatives nominated by the Speaker with the consent of the House of Representatives and three members of the National Assembly nominated by the Speaker with the consent of the National Assembly. With the consent of the concerned house, the members can be changed as needed. (3) When nominating members to the committee in accordance with sub-rule (2), all political parties represented in the federal parliament are represented so that women, Dalits, tribal tribes, Khas Arya, Madheshi, Tharu, Muslims, backward areas are represented. , minority communities will be nominated based on their presence in the House in such a way that there will be proportional representation. (4) The members of the committee will select one chairman from among themselves. In the absence of the chairman, the oldest member of the committee in terms of age will preside over the meeting. (5) The term of office of the committee will be for the entire duration of the House of Representatives.
